COACH OF THE YEAR

12U Division

COACH POOLE: BEN HILL TIGERS

To understand the magnitude of the Frank Ski Youth Bowl you have to understand history of the two teams and the two leagues that they come from. In one corner you had UYFC, this league had been around for over 50 years. They play with a weight limit across the board of 135 for their 12U division. Then you have the upstart MAYFL league that had been only in its fifth year of existence that played with play by the rules of unlimited weight. Out of the UYFC you had the Tucker Lions, they amassed an undefeated record while averaging over 40 points a game. Out of MAYFL came the dominant Ben hill Tigers. Undefeated all year long and also ranked number one in the B2C Polls and at the middle of all this stood Coach Pool. It takes a special person to lead of group to greatness. With all the hopes of MAYFL and literally the balance of power all placed in one game. Coach Poole led his team to greatness. A dominant performance in the Frank Ski Youth Bowl Championship, as the whistle blew everyone was finally able to see what Coach Poole knew, that he had probably one of the best teams ever.

To understand the accomplishment lets first by start that his team was ranked number one all year long. He also led the Tigers to victories over 5 teams that were ranked in the top ten in the B2C Polls

No fear as they traveled to the home of the Atlanta Vikings. No surrender when they pushed to the limits by the GA Rattlers, Welcome All, and Central Dekalb Jaguars. No Mercy as they showed us and all who watched that they were too much for the Tucker Lions in the Championship game to a 45-14. That is what Coach Pool preached during the season as he kept his team focused on the prize

So not only was Coach Poole, his coaching staff and his team dominate on the field but they might have just changed the way youth football is played throughout the southeastern region of the US.

Congratulations to Coach Poole for being named the B2C Coach of the Year for the 12U Division
