The weekend started with four teams all with an opportunity to be named the best team in Atlanta. Clayton County was led by a ferocious defense. DeKalb County had a team concept with great coaching. Hapeville was led by a do everything back that tipped the scales at 230, reminding people of a young Jerome Bettis. The there was the team from Henry County. They believed in one thing…speed. The have amassed an impressive 71-0 record over the past four years.

Henry County started off by showing why they are the considered the best youth team in Atlanta by dominating Clayton County. Henry County’s running back ran wild for over 150 yards.
Hapeville vs DeKalb County
Hapeville led by their bruiser of a running back competed well all game long. At the end the DeKalb Jaguars were just to much for the Hapeville Hornets.

Henry County had years invested in their unblemished record of 72-0. DeKalb County were looking to be the first team in years to put a defeat on their record. The stars didn’t disappoint as the star players made plays. Even though the game was competitive all the way through, the game served more as a crowning ceremony for a decorated team. Henry County won decisively led by their running back who had more than 170 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns. Giving Henry County a perfect 73-0 record as this team played their final game together. |
