The Vikings call on the WorkHorse to lead the way

With Deion Sanders' T.R.U.T.H holding onto a one game lead in the tournament, Jamal Lewis' Vikings turned to the 12U team which was considered to be one of the better teams in the state of Georgia. With the legendary coach Tim on the sideline, the Vikings were ready to play.

The first half featured some outstanding individual plays by both teams. Having had the opportunity to watch the T.R.U.T.H’s running back twice in less than a week, once in Dallas and now in Atlanta, he proved to be exactly what we thought he was and that is flat out fast! He got the ball on a short toss and all of a sudden it looked as if everyone was running in sand as he put his foot in the ground, hit the sprint button, and ran down the sideline untouched for a sixty yard touchdown.

Not to be outdone, last year's B2C Player of the Year nominee, who played for the Georgia Rattlers had now made the switch to come to the Atlanta Vikings and he also proved to be the price of admission as he had a very physical 15-yard touchdown run, kind of looking like Jamal Lewis on that run. The first half ended with the Vikings holding onto a 14-7 lead.

The second half began with a bang as the Vikings returned the kickoff 65 yards for a score. From there, they wouldn’t look back as they got rolling. At the end of the game, the Vikings had put together a dominating performance as they won by four touchdowns.

The tournament was now tied one to one with the 14U game coming up next...
